A flurry of new makeup and beauty trends are emerging thanks to Fashion Month! With New York, London and Milan just finished, beauty gurus everywhere are looking through all the pics to seek the top trends for the coming season.
The trends for Autumn/Winter are subtle, but strong. The makeup looks for the coming colder months are calling for you to embrace your natural beauty – think minimalist with transformational effects. So far, a majority of the beauty looks shown at the designers' shows had different takes on the eye.
Finger Painted Eyes
Zero + Maria Cornejo painted eye
Art and beauty cross in this avant-garde yet oddly wearable makeup look. With the look spanning across Proenza Schouler, Zero + Maria Cornejo, Cushnie et Ochs and Monique Lhullier, it seems as though this out of the box look may stay. Bring out your inner Yoko Ono, dab your fingers into your kohl and paint, paint, paint!
Diane von Furstenberg smokey eyes
The classic smokey eye returns for the season, with Diane von Furstenberg staying true to its roots. A different approach to the look took place for Burberry Prorsum, Derek Lam, Altuzarra and Alexander Wang, with the beauty team opting for more a sheer, sensual mist, which creates a more dainty aesthetic.
Classic Winged Eye
Oscar de la Renta winged eye
The pin-up girls' essential eye look has captured beauty lovers all over. The look is notorious for being hard to achieve, but practice makes perfect! The trick to this look is to use your beloved credit card. Yep, use it as a guide to sweep the liner into a flawless wing!
Vera Wang nude eye
The “no makeup” look has become a beauty staple, allowing you to look naturally awake and refreshed, even if you stayed up or out all night. By dotting and blending touches of gold, nude and white around the eyes, as shown at Hugo Boss, you are immediately left with fresher looking eyes.
Or, if you want a prettier, more delicate look, use the lightest of pink, or orange eyeshadow instead. As seen at Vera Wang and Narciso Rodriguez's shows, make sure you use white eyeliner and curl your lashes to finish the look.
