Celebrate Chinese New Year

RSS

There have been fireworks all across the world, lighting up skylines from New York to Shanghai, as we welcome the Chinese New Year. This year is the Year of the Goat (or Sheep). The colours red and gold are very important in Chinese culture as red signifies good fortune and gold signifies luck.

The New Year celebration is centuries old and significant because of myth and tradition. It is common to see flashes of vibrant red all about town as red colour paper decorations adorn windows and doors while red firecrackers pop and sparkle intensely.

Vogue Magazine has put together a fabulous flat lay of all things bright and beautiful, red and gold. These luxe products may just add something special to your Chinese New Year celebrations.

Enjoy Chinese New Year and may 2015 bring you abundance, good fortune and longevity.
